Help Us
Reach
Our Goal
Hungry Pets Program
The choice between buying gas and putting food on the table and feeding and caring for pets has put many pet owners in a position where they have to cut back where they can, often affecting their pets first. Animal shelters and Rescues in our counties are bursting at the seams with abandoned pets and owner surrenders, the common reason being that the family cannot afford the pet any more or that they have to move from a house to an apartment and cannot have their dog or cat. And adoption rates are down.
We have toy drives for needy children and food drives for hungry families and individuals. Soup kitchens serve the homeless, and we donate coats, shoes and other warm clothes for those who need them. But what about the pets in these homes of need?
To combat hunger among local animals whose owners have fallen on tough times, PAWS accepts pet food to help feed these pets in need. The kibble that is collected will go to the Baldwin Food Shelf and any pet owners who ask for assistance.
Please help us reach our goal of 2000 lbs of pet food to be handed out thruout 2010. We do not want anyone have to choose between food on the table or pet food in a bowl or give up their pet because they cannot afford to feed them.
If you are interested in having a Hungry People have Hungry Pets Food Drive, do give us a call or email. We love to work with groups and individuals that want to make a difference for the pets in our western WI communities.
AND WE DO MAKE A DIFFERENCE!!!!
